About Edward Anderton
The managing director of Scarlata Chocolate, Edward Anderton oversees daily operations for a chocolatier with a specific passion for dark chocolate that contains no excess sugar, processed additives, preservatives, or other unnecessary ingredients. Scarlata Chocolate uses only fairly traded and sustainably sourced cacao. Under Edward Anderton’s direction, the organization makes entirely gluten-free confections that contain organic ingredients whenever possible. In addition to selling its products online and at special events, the Scarlata team stocks select items at various Seattle-area shops.
Outside of the professional environment, Edward Anderton is an award-winning Latin dancer who taught both bachata and salsa classes at Google’s home offices from 2013 to 2014. He is also an avid snowboarder and a dedicated practitioner of Krav Maga. In 2015, Mr. Anderton tested his abilities as an open water swimmer when he completed a 1.5-mile swim through shark-infested waters as part of the Escape from Alcatraz Duathlon. He ultimately placed second in his age group.
